In
its special meeting on October 22,
2012 in Bangkok, the AWCF
Board of Trustees (BOT) issued a resolution to re-appoint Ms Salome "Sally" A. Ganibe
as Executive Director (ED) of AWCF, effective immediately. In the middle of the
2012, Ms Ganibe left her AWCF post as ED, and she served as volunteer to the
organization. Ms Angelita G. Valdez, then the Program Coordinator of AWCF, took
over as Officer in Charge until she unexpectedly passed away in April
2012. After Ms Valdez’s demise, Ms Ganibe had continued her volunteer work in
AWCF, until the organization’s BOT re-appointed her as ED in October 2012.
Member-organizations of AWCF were represented in the October meeting, except the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO), Philippines. At the time of the meeting, NATCCO had yet to confirm its new representative to the AWCF BOT, coming from its new elected officers in May 2012. The AWCF BOT is headed by Chairperson Ms Kruewan Chonlanai of the Credit Union League of Thailand (CULT), Thailand.
